2016 Preseason College Football Playoff Predictions

SFpageheader

Year 2 of the college football playoff is upon us.  Last year saw the fourth seed make a run to the national championship as the Ohio State Buckeyes dispatched Alabama and Oregon.

This year could see familiar faces but the Big XII should have a participant after being left out last year.

We given you our predicted records for the Power 5 conference teams in our 2015 College Football Preview so now it’s time to announce our college football final four.  These are the four teams that will make the 2016 in predicted seeding from the selection committee:

1.  Ohio State Buckeyes

2.  TCU Horned Frogs

3.  Auburn Tigers

4.  Oregon Ducks

Our predicted ACC Champion Georgia Tech will be the power 5 conference champ left out this year.

2016 College Football Playoff National Semi-Finals

In a rematch of last year’s national championship game, Ohio State will again beat Oregon.  Look for the Buckeyes to advance again to the title game.

In the 2 vs. 3 match-up, a TCU team that felt jilted last year faces the SEC Champion Auburn.  The Horned Frogs will advance in what we project as a high scoring game.

2016 College Football Playoff National Championship Game

The top 2 seeds advance to the national championship game.  Ohio State is back to defend their title.  TCU is looking for revenge after being left out of last year’s playoff.  We predict both teams will enter this game undefeated.

TCU will win the 2016 National Championship.
