NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 4 – 2017

We want you to survive your eliminator pool this NFL season so we’re giving our free survivor pool strategy all season. Our picks are based upon our data driven NFL predictions and power rankings.

Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:

There are easy steps to cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool.  We take you through step-by-step to make the week 4 NFL Survivor Pool pick.

Eliminate Teams We’ve Already Taken this Season

We’re 3-0 this season having taken the Bills (week 1), Raiders (week 2) and Packers (week 3).  The Raiders and Bills we predict to lose in week 4 so wouldn’t be considered this week.  The Packers are projected to win Thursday night but since we’ve used this this season, they’re out and leave us with 15 teams for week 4.

Eliminate Toss-Up Winners

First we eliminate toss-up games.  That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list.  The Dolphins, Jets and Bucs are out.  We have 12 teams remaining.

Eliminate Road Winners

Next we eliminate road teams.  I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all.  Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.

Eliminating predicted road winners, the Bengals (at Browns) are eliminated.  11 teams are remaining for our NFL week 4 survivor pool pick.

Eliminate Low Ranking Winners

Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings.  The Arizona Cardinals (22nd) are out of consideration.

Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams

Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration.  This eliminates the Texans (vs. Titans), Vikings (vs. Lions), Ravens (vs. Steelers), Falcons (vs. Bills), Chargers (vs. Eagles), Broncos (vs. Raiders) and Chiefs (vs. Redskins).  Having knocked out seven teams, we only have 3 remaining.

Final  Survivor Pool Pick Candidates

3 – Cowboys – Coming off a short week, the Cowboys host a Rams team coming off a win on Thursday night.  This game could be more competitive due to the team he team has to prepare so they’re the least confident of our final picks.

2 – Patriots (against Panthers) – The Pats defense continues to struggle.  The Panthers though showed they were vulnerable as the Saints shredded them at home last Sunday.  Tom Brady keeps it going for the Pats this week.

1 – Seahawks (against Colts) – The Seahawks are coming off a loss on the road while they host the Colts coming off a win.  The Seahawks know a drop to 1-3 make it another season of obstacles.  I look for this to be a blowout.   Take the Seahawks to survive NFL week 4.

NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 3 – 2017

We want you to survive your eliminator pool this NFL season so we’re giving our free survivor pool strategy all season. Our picks are based upon our data driven NFL predictions and power rankings.

Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:

There are four steps to easily cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool.

Eliminate the Teams We’ve Already Picked in 2017

We picked and survived week 1 (Bills) and week 2 (Raiders) so they are off the list and we have final candidates for our week 3 NFL Survivor Pool Pick.  Both are predicted winners this week so our list is shortened to 14 tams.

Eliminate Toss-Up Winners

Next, we eliminate toss-up games.  That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list.  Gone are the Ravens, Steelers, Dolphins, Panthers, Chiefs and Cardinals.  Our list of 16 NFL week 3 winners is cut down to  8.

Eliminate Road Winners

Next we eliminate road teams.  I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all.  Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.

Eliminating predicted road winners, only knocks the Falcons (at Lions) from consideration leaving us with 7 teams.

Eliminate Low Ranking Winners

Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings.  The Colts (30) and 49ers (28) are out of consideration.  Five teams remain.

Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams

Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration.  This eliminates the Vikings (against Bucs) and Titans (against Seahawks).  Three teams are our final three survivor pool pick candidates.

Final  Survivor Pool Pick Candidates

3 – Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles have played well so far beating the Redskins week 1 and being competitive in Kansas City losing by 7 to the Chiefs last Sunday.  They play the Giants this week who after a disappointing performance on Monday night should play inspired football after an 0-2 start.  Look for this game to be close and the Eagles our least confident survivor pool pick for week 3.

2 – New England Patriots – The Pats’ offense looked back on track but Gronk is injured.  The Texans offense is much better with Deshaun Watson at QB.  Their defense is solid and should keep this game close.

1 – Green Bay Packers – This is a potential blowout on Sunday.  The Pack host the struggling Bengals who’ve yet to put up a TD this season. The Bengals played on Thursday night last week so they’re rest and prepared but the Packers should put up points and the Bengals won’t be able to match it.  Take the Packers to survive NFL week 3.

NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 2 – 2017

We want you to survive your eliminator pool this NFL season so we’re giving our free survivor pool strategy all season. Our picks are based upon our data driven NFL predictions and power rankings.

RESULTS:

Week 1 – Bills (Win)

Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:

There are four steps to easily cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool.

Eliminate Toss-Up Winners

First we eliminate toss-up games.  That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list.

Gone from our list of 16 week 1 winners are the Titans (at Jaguars), Panthers (vs. Bills) and Cowboys (at Broncos).  13 teams remain.

Eliminate Road Winners

Next we eliminate road teams.  I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all.  Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.

Eliminating predicted road winners, we take out the Patriots (at Saints), Cardinals (at Colts) and Redskins (at Rams).  Ten teams are left to consider.

Eliminate Low Ranking Winners

Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings.  This eliminates the Bengals (28th) and Giants (25th).  Eight teams remain in consideration.

Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams

Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration.  This eliminates the Chiefs (vs. Eagles), Steelers (vs. Vikings), Chargers (vs. Dolphins) and Falcons (vs. Packers).  Four teams are left to make our NFL week 2 survivor pick.

Eliminate the Teams We’ve Already Picked in 2017

We picked and survived last week with the Bills.

Final  Survivor Pool Pick Candidates

Our final four picks to consider are the Ravens, Bucs, Raiders and Seahawks.

4 – Bucs (against Bears) – The Bears hung in and had a chance to beat the Falcons in the final seconds last Sunday.  They just couldn’t get it done and now tangle with another NFC South team in week 2.  The Bucs’ week 1 game was postponed due to Hurricane Irma.  The Bucs should be ready to play but look for the Bears to hang in this game and make this the closest game of our four survivor pool candidates this week.

3 – Ravens (against Browns) – The Ravens destroyed the Bengals last week.  They were one of the weekend’s most impressive teams as they pitched a shutout on the road against a divisional foe.   They get a Browns team that was competitive.  Ravens are a pretty safe pick but not as easy as one of our top two picks.

2 – Seattle Seahawks (against 49ers) – The Seahawks have their home opener against the 49ers.  Both lost week 1, the 49ers only put up 3 points while the Seahawks couldn’t hit double digits either.  Look for the Seahawks defense to swarm the limited 49ers offense and Russell Wilson to hit a couple of big plays to get the Seahawks a win.

1 – Raiders (against Jets) – The Raiders opened the season with a great win in Tennessee.  The Jets are putrid on offense.  The only chance they have in this game is getting a defense TD to help that O out.  The Raiders will be too much.  Take the Raiders to survive NFL week 2.

NFL Survivor Pool Pick – Week 1 2017

We want you to survive your eliminator pool this NFL season so we’re giving our free survivor pool strategy all season. Our picks are based upon our data driven NFL predictions and power rankings.

Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:

There are four steps to easily cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool.  We have 16 NFL week 1 winners to cut down from so let’s start picking a survivor.

Eliminate Toss-Up Winners

First we eliminate toss-up games.  That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list.

Gone are the Lions (against Cardinals), Titans (against Raiders), Dolphins (against Bucs) and  Panthers (at 49ers).  12 teams remain.

Eliminate Road Winners

Next we eliminate road teams.  I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all.  Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.

Eliminating predicted road winners, three of our 12 remaining teams are out. The Falcons (at Bears), Steelers (at Browns) and Colts (at Rams) are no longer being considered for a survivor pick.

Eliminate Low Ranking Winners

Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings.  The Texans (24th) and Bengals (23rd) cut our list down to seven teams.

Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams

Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration.  This eliminates the Patriots (against Chiefs), Redskins (against Eagles) Packers (against Seahawks) and Cowboys (against Giants) .

We’re down to three teams for our NFL week 1 survivor pool pick.

Final  Survivor Pool Pick Candidates

3 – Denver Broncos (against Chargers) – A game with two new head coaches make this the least confident pick of the three.

2 – Minnesota Vikings (against New Orleans Saints) – The Vikings open up a new stadium while welcoming back Adrian Peterson who know joins Drew Brees in the backfield for the Saints.

1 – Buffalo Bills (against New York Jets) – While the Bills are breaking in a new head coach, the Jets are a team lacking playmakers.  The Jets should be a mess in week 1 so take the Bills at home to survive NFL week 1.

4-  Seahawks – This should be a slam dunk for the Seahawks with the Rams firing a head coach this week.  It’s on Thursday night though and you never know what kind of play you’re going to get from a  team on Thursday.

3)  Redskins – The Panthers and Redskins are in desperation mode for the playoff.  They know a loss could end their hopes.  Don’t trust a team playing a desperate team.

2)  Ravens – The Ravens are better than the Eagles.  They’re coming off a short week though having played in New England on Monday night.

1) Falcons – The Falcons are going to blow the 49ers out.  Take the Atlanta Falcons to survive NFL week 15.

NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 12 – 2016

We want you to survive your eliminator pool this NFL season so we’re giving our free survivor pool strategy all season. Our picks are based upon our data driven NFL predictions and power rankings.

We’re 9-2 surviving the season with a win last Sunday as the Lions defeated the Jaguars to survive.

Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:

We start with our list of 16 predicted winners:

Lions over Vikings
Cowboys over Redskins
Steelers over Colts
Texans over Chargers
Titans over Bears
Bills over Jaguars
Ravens over Bengals

Dolphins over 49ers
Saints over Rams
Giants over Browns
Seahawks over Bucs

First we eliminate toss-up games.  That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list.  This knocks out the Seahawks and Texans.  We have 14 teams remaining to consider in week 12.

Eliminate Road Winners

Next we eliminate road teams.  I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all.  Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.

Eliminating predicted road winners, the Steelers, Patriots, Titans and Giants are out of contention.  We have 10 teams left.

Eliminate Low Ranking Winners

Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings.  This eliminates the Saints, ranked 23rd, from contention.  Nine teams remain.

Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams

Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration.  This eliminates the Broncos against the sixth ranked Chiefs and Cowboys against the 10th ranked Redskins are out.  Seven teams remain.

nfl-survivor-pool-picks-week-12-2016

Final  Survivor Pool Pick Candidates

5 – Raiders (against Panthers) – The Raiders won Monday night in Mexico City.  The conditions of being at such elevation and in heavy pollution, can cause great fatigue.  It might impact the Raiders’ performance this Sunday as they’re trying to recover.

4 – Eagles (against Packers) – The Eagles are trying to stay in the playoff race while the Packers are crumbling.  Do the Packers rise up on Monday night to upset the Eagles? Never count Aaron Rodgers out.

3 – Falcons (against Cardinals) – The Cardinals have fallen this season.  They can’t protect Carson Palmer and that’s disrupted the offense mightily.  The Falcons will try to jump out to an early lead to let the pass rush attack.

2 – Ravens (against Bengals) – This is more of a play against the Bengals.  Without AJ Green, the offense doesn’t have much spark.  This is a divisional game which means it be close.

1 – Dolphins (against 49ers) – The Dolphins are hot having won five straight and welcome the lowly Niners to town this week.  Expect the ‘Phins to keep the momentum going.  Take the Dolphins to survive NFL week 12.
