College Football Playoff Predictions

If the 2023-24 College Football Playoff were this weekend, here’s the line-up:

  • #1 Texas vs. #4 Michigan – A road win at Alabama would have the Longhorns #1 in the committee’s rankings for the playoff. Michigan has cruised against a soft schedule so far. They’ll have their opportunities late in the year to move up.
  • #2 Florida State vs. #3 Georgia – Florida St. has the second most impressive win of the early season as they beat LSU. Georgia is still waiting for a challenge.

Heisman Trophy Rankings

  1. Caleb Williams (QB – USC) – Completed 19 of 21 against conference foe Stanford. Now with 12 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, he jumps to the top of the Heisman rankings this week.
  2. Jordan Travis (QB – Florida State) – huge game on the national stage against LSU. The way he led his team to a gigantic win in the second half Sunday night has him atop the Heisman race right now.
  3. Travis Hunter (CB/WR – Colorado) – As a two way player, he’s making plays on both sides of the game. Will teams start avoiding him on defense and hurt his chances?
  4. Michael Penix (QB – Washington) – He’s got one pick against 8 touchdowns but he’s got his offense going strong. With the Pac-12 garnering a lot of national attention, he’ll have the opportunity to impress the masses as the season goes.
  5. Shadeur Sanders (QB – Colorado) – struggled early against Nebraska but then got it going. He’s got 6 touchdowns to 0 interceptions. He’ll have a lot of eyes on him coming up with games against Oregon and USC where he can make his case to move up.
