Week 6 College Football Storylines
- All eyes on the Red River Rivalry this Saturday in the de facto Big 12 semi-final game between Oklahoma and Texas. The winner is almost guaranteeing themselves a spot in the Big 12 title game and becomes a leader to make the College Football Playoff. For Oklahoma, it’ll be a big step up in competition but they’re ready to avenge their blowout loss in this game last year.
- LSU and Ole Miss played a game of the year candidate last week with the Rebels edging the Tigers in the final minute 55-49. Can LSU bounce back on the road against undefeated Mizzou?
- Can Jimbo Fisher get his Aggies a second win over Nick Saban’s Alabama team? The hot seat Jimbo is sitting on right now will cool dramatically if he can win this one Saturday afternoon.
- How does Colorado handle being a road favorite? Arizona State has been competitive the past couple of weeks against USC and Cal. Colorado comes off of losses to Oregon and USC. Both teams are hungry for a Pac-12 win and this one should be competitive throughout.
- Georgia continues to live on the edge. They host a good Kentucky team. Will they show up Saturday and show they’re still the big dogs of the SEC?
