Company Blog – June 10, 2013

By Matt Fischer (President/Founder of SportsFormulator.com)

I’ve had six months since sitting in a cube grinding out the typical 8-5.  In the time since I left that job, I’ve worked daily building SportsFormulator.com and seeing many successes.  Dealt with my share of frustrations for sure encountering people who didn’t take my business seriously because it’s new or they don’t understand what I do to technical problems with the website.  I’ve also encountered a lot of new people who’ve been supportive and helped the business grow and develop.

Now that I feel I have proof of concept from the number of people who’ve visited the site and return on a daily basis, it’s time to take the site to the next level.  Summer is a transition time for the site  While I will continue to publish picks daily, we’ve been adding commentary from Derek and Allyus to give you more content here on the site and that will continue as we bulk up with more than just daily sports predictions.  The site is being redesigned with a more polished site in mind that will be available by August 1.

If you’re like me, as the NBA and NHL are down to the championship round, I look towards football season.  I’ve already begun researching for the 2013 college and NFL seasons.  We will begin our preview with “50 Days to Football” beginning July 10.  We’ll publish a new piece of our season previews each day until college football kicks off on August 29, 2013.

As the company grows, I have been looking for more help.  Today I had lunch with a potential partner.  He’s debating taking the same risk I did and quit the comfort of a 8-5 job for the double digit work hour days of entrepreneurship.  He will make a great addition to the team and I hope he decides to join us in July.  I will keep you posted and introduce him if he decides to come aboard.

We have another project I think you’ll like that will happen soon.  Still working out details but I definitely think you’ll like it.  As soon as it’s finalized, I’ll let you know more about it.

Look for updates more frequently going forward.  If you haven’t already taken them, I’d love to get your feedback in a couple of our short surveys.  If you can spare a minute please complete them.
One asks for what more you’d like to see more of on SportsFormulator.com and the other is just to get to know you better.

As always if you’ve got a question or comment feel free to email me at matt@sportsformulator.com or use social media to get in touch.  Reach us on Twitter and Facebook and Google+.  I’m also using the Vine App so expect more on there and video on the site here as well.

Thank you for reading,

Matt
