Matt’s Mind: $100 Bankroll (June 10, 2013)

By Matt Fischer (matt@sportsformulator.com)

So I just had a moment of inspiration and decided to run with it.  Many of you have asked for more gambling articles so I want to oblige and think this will be a hit but you tell me.  I want to start with how to make money without starting with much.  I have experience with this but now want to go on the record with it. This will be a series of articles of how to build on a $100 bankroll so check in daily.

For this example, let’s start with $100 bankroll.  It’s an easy number to translate to what your bankroll is to play with regardless of whether you’re a big or small player.

With only MLB going on tonight we don’t have a lot to choose from but as you saw I gave two recommendations on how to play tonight so let’s start with them.  In today’s MLB Predictions I said play the Mariners and Dodgers tonight.  So let’s start with that.  I’m confident in the Mariners besting the Astros easily and the Dodgers riding Clayton Kershaw’s left arm to a win over the D-backs.  So let’s go with $100 in a 2 team parlay with the Mariners and Dodgers to win $114.93.  So if the Mariners and Dodgers both win, we have $214.93 tomorrow or if one or both lose we’re at $0.  We’re all in on day 1.  Let’s see if I look like a genius doubling the bankroll or bankrupting myself the first night.
