Rebounded yesterday with a solid 3-1 performance playing the under on every game. That bumps me to 4-3-1 ATS in the 2013 NBA Playoffs. Only two games tonight as teams from middle of the country try to even up their series on the coasts. Here’s what’s on my mind for each game:
Chicago Bulls at Brooklyn Nets
The Nets looked good blowing out the Bulls on Saturday. I think it’s going to be a different story tonight. Joakim Noah returns to the lineup tonight and he’ll disrupt things in the paint and make shots harder for the Nets. Plus his energy should spur the Bulls as well. I think this is a very shaky spot for the Nets. They’re riding high after the big win Saturday and I could see the upset happening.
The Play: Bulls +4.5
Memphis Grizzlies at Los Angeles Clippers
The Grizzlies just faded midway through the fourth quarter on Saturday. The Clippers played like a team who expected to win that game and this series. The way they went from only being up one to blowing out the Grizz was impressive in the fourth. Lionel Hollins is a good coach and I expect him to get his team refocused and pound the ball inside tonight. If it’s a repeat of Saturday where Jerryd Bayless takes more shots than each of them, the Grizz lose and it’s ugly again. Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph should each have 20 shots in this game. They need to be fed the ball and try to get Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan in foul trouble. The Grizz can’t match the talent that comes off the bench in LA so they’ve got to go to their two best players and hope they can carry them to a win. I’ll take the Grizzlies with the points.
The Play: Grizzlies +5.5
