We start with our list of 15 predicted winners:
Cowboys over Vikings
Broncos over Jaguars
Falcons over Chiefs
Eagles over Bengals
Packers over Texans
Saints over Lions
Bears over 49ers
Patriots over Rams
Ravens over Dolphins
Raiders over Bills
Chargers over Bucs

Now there are four steps to easily cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool.
Eliminate Toss-Up Winners
First we eliminate toss-up games. That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list. Gone are the Cowboys, Eagles and Jets. 12 teams remain.
Eliminate Road Winners
Next we eliminate road teams. I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all. Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.
Eliminating predicted road winners, we only knock one team out, the Broncos. 11 teams remain.
Eliminate Low Ranking Winners
Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings. This eliminates three teams, the Packers (22), Cardinals (23) and Bears (30). Eight teams are still being considered for our NFL survivor pool pick.
Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams
Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration. This eliminates the Falcons (against Chiefs), Raiders (against Bills), Steelers (against Giants), Saints (against Lions) and Ravens (against Dolphins). Three teams remain in consideration, the Patriots, Chargers and Seahawks.

We’ve used the Chargers previously so they’re out of consideration for week 13. The Patriots and Seahawks are left.
Final Survivor Pool Pick Candidates
2 – Seahawks (against Panthers) – The Panthers come in with nothing to lose and Cam Newton’s crew has won in Seattle before.
1 – Patriots (against Rams) – The Patriots are at home which is as close to a lock as you can get in the NFL. Plus they’re playing a team that struggles to score points that will be traveling a great distance. Take the Patriots to survive NFL week 13.
