Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:
Now there are four steps to easily cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool.
Eliminate Toss-Up Winners
First we eliminate toss-up games. That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list. We knock 16 teams out of consideration including Dolphins, Giants, Packers, Patriots, Chargers and Bengals.
Eliminate Road Winners
Next we eliminate road teams. I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all. Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team. All road winners were eliminated in the toss-up games. Ten teams remain.
Eliminate Low Ranked Teams
Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings. The Texans are the lowest ranked team remaining but fall at 20 so they’re in consideration still.
Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams
Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration. This eliminates the Cowboys, who play the 13th ranked Bucs. Nine teams remain.
Eliminate the Teams We’ve Already Picked in 2016
We’re 11-3 on the season ending our streak with a Colts loss last Sunday. With nine teams left, five (Vikings, Bills, Chiefs, Texans, Cardinals) have been used this season. Four teams are left to consider, the Seahawks, Ravens, Falcons and Redskins.

Final Survivor Pool Pick Candidates
4- Seahawks – This should be a slam dunk for the Seahawks with the Rams firing a head coach this week. It’s on Thursday night though and you never know what kind of play you’re going to get from a team on Thursday.
3) Redskins – The Panthers and Redskins are in desperation mode for the playoff. They know a loss could end their hopes. Don’t trust a team playing a desperate team.
2) Ravens – The Ravens are better than the Eagles. They’re coming off a short week though having played in New England on Monday night.
1) Falcons – The Falcons are going to blow the 49ers out. Take the Atlanta Falcons to survive NFL week 15.
