NFL Survivor Pool Picks
NFL Survivor Pool Picks for week 3 of the 2017 season. 0-2 start to the season. I’m disgusted with myself for this pathetic performance. The Lions and Redskins have embarrassed me this season with their horrible play. Week 3 will be better.
I want you to survive your eliminator pool this NFL season so I’m giving you my free survivor pool strategy all season. I promise it’ll get better. After 15-2 last season, I’m going to go on a run now to finish out the season! My picks are based upon our data driven NFL predictions and power rankings.

Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:
There are easy steps to cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool.
Usually at this point in the season, there isn’t much to pick from for a survivor pool. This week, we’ll cut down from 16 winners.
Eliminate the Teams We’ve Already Picked in 2018
Starting 0-2 with the Lions (week 1) and Redskins (week 2), they’re not considered. The Redskins are predicted winners this week but they’re out of consideration so we’re at 15 teams for week 3.
Eliminate Toss-Up Winners
Next, I eliminate toss-up games. That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list. The Chicago Bears are predicted 1 point winners at Arizona this Sunday. We’re down to 14 teams for our week 3 NFL Survivor Pool Pick.
Eliminate Road Winners
Then we eliminate road teams. I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all. Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.
Eliminating predicted road winners, the Jets, Saints, Patriots and Steelers are predicted road winners so they’re out of contention for our NFL Survivor Pool Pick for week 3. Ten teams remain.
Eliminate Low Ranking Winners
Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings. This eliminates the 0-2 Seahawks and 0-2 Texans. Eight teams are left to consider for my week 3 NFL Survivor Pool Pick.
Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams
Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration. This eliminates Ravens, Panthers, Dolphins and Rams. We’re down to our final four week 3 NFL Survivor Pool Picks.
Final Survivor Pool Pick Candidates
It’s week 3 and I need a win. I’ve got four candidates this week, the Chiefs, Jaguars, Vikings and Eagles. I’ll rank them in order of confidence and make my NFL week 3 survivor pool pick.
4 – Eagles – The Colts killed me last week and with Carson Wentz coming back their could be an adjustment period for the Eagles. They’re my least confident pick for week 3.
3 – Jaguars – Is this a letdown situation for the Jags? They come off a big home win against the Patriots last week. The Titans won a playoff game last season. They’ll come to play in Jacksonville. Too dangerous to take the Jags this week.
2 – Chiefs – Kansas City is tossing it all over the field with Patrick Mahomes and all his receiving threats. It’s the home opener for the Chiefs and look for a raucous Arrowhead Stadium to power the Chiefs to a win on Sunday.
1- Vikings – This is a blowout winner in NFL week 3. The Bills are bad. The Vikings return home off of a tie at rival Green Bay. I think they’ll jump on the Bills and pound them. Take the Vikings to survive NFL Week 3.
