Predicted Betting Lines for NBA Opening Night – October 25, 2016

Knicks at Cavs Betting Line

The defending champs open up at home against the Knicks.  The Knicks debut a new coach, Jeff Hornacek and should have a new style from the triangle Derek Fisher was wanting to run.

The Knicks are a middle of the pack team on the road at the reigning NBA Champions.  This is a double digit line.

The Cavs should roll over the Knicks but will they be distracted by the ring ceremony?   With this almost certainly a double digit point spread, this might be worth taking the underdog.

Predicted Betting Line – Cavs -11.5

Spurs at Warriors Betting Line

Kevin Durant makes his Warriors debut and that’ll have the Warriors getting a lot of public money.  Look for the line to be a little inflated as the public will want to back the favorite.

Tim Duncan is retired and the Spurs brought in Pau Gasol to fill that spot.  The Spurs still have a good nucleus and could take advantage of the Warriors as they try to fit Kevin Durant in on a great team.

Predicted Betting Line – Warriors -8.5

Jazz at Trail Blazers Betting Line

Predicted Betting Line – Blazers -5.5

The Jazz look to be improved.  They’ve upgraded the roster and Quin Snyder seems to have them headed in the right direction.

The Blazers rebounded from the loss of LaMarcus Aldridge in the 2015 free agency period to have a surprisingly strong 2015-16 season.
