You’re sitting there with a sheet that has 68 teams bracketed out trying to decide which team to right on the line round by round.  Well we’ve got some answers to help you make your way through your 2017 NCAA Tournament Bracket.

Which #1 goes down first?

Kansas.  The top seeds in the tournament should all make the Elite 8.  The Jayhawks are the one top seed we don’t have in the Final Four.

The defending champs, Villanova,  have a tough draw with a potential match-up in round 2 against Wisconsin but we’ve got them in the Final Four

What are some likely first round upsets?

Xavier over Maryland, Marquette over South Carolina and Wichita State over Dayton are ones our formula is predicting.

Who are the potential Cinderellas in this year’s Big Dance?

SMU is ranked #5 in our power rankings.  They have potential to make a run deep in the tournament.  Wichita St. and St. Mary’s are #10 and #11  in our power rankings but run in to tough second round matchups.  The Formula predicts St. Mary’s edging Arizona in round 2 while Wichita St. is eliminated by Kentucky.

Middle Tennessee at 22, UNC Wilmington at 28, and Vermont at 29 are teams to look out for in potential Sweet 16 runs.

What first round match-ups are our closest predictions?

Arkansas over Seton Hall is our closest predicted score in the first round followed by Marquette over South Carolina, Northwestern over Vanderbilt and Xavier over Maryland.
