Week is in the books so it’s time to analyze all 130 FBS college football teams and publish our data driven week college football power rankings. In addition, we give you our Heisman Trophy and College Football Playoff Rankings.

College Football Playoff Rankings – Week 8

If the College Football Playoff were to happen this week, this would be the Final Four:

1. Alabama vs. 4. Oklahoma
2. Clemson vs. 3. Ohio State

It’s hard for me to say there are four teams better than LSU. That Alabama vs. LSU game is a de facto College Football Playoff game.

If Oklahoma runs the table, they’re in the playoff.

Georgia’s loss on Saturday eliminated Notre Dame from contention in my eyes. And USC losing at Notre Dame basically ended hopes for the Pac-12 to get into the playoff.

Heisman Tropy Rankings – Week 8

I don’t have a Heisman ballot but if I did, my ballot this week would like like this:

1. Joe Burrow (QB – LSU) – He’s come up big in LSU’s big wins. He has my vote for best player at the midpoint in the college football season.
2. Tua Tagovailoa (QB – Alabama) – Second in the nation in QBR and 27 TD’s to 1 INT this season.
3. Chuba Hubbard (RB – Oklahoma State) – He’s flying under the radar but he’s got 1,094 yards already this season with 13 TD’s averaging 6.7 yards per carry.
