Will Mizzou Basketball Win Again This Season?

SFpageheader

Local ESPN radio affiliate, KTGR asked this morning on their social media if Mizzou basketball would win again this season.  Since we’re headquartered in Tiger country, we decided to crunch the numbers and see what the chances are Mizzou will win one of their final four games of the 2014-15 college basketball season.  Here are our projections:

Florida at Mizzou – The Gators come to Columbia with a 64% chance of winning this game.  This is the Tigers toughest game to win as we project a 10 point loss.  The streak goes to 14.

Mizzou at Georgia – Mizzou goes on the road with a 38% chance to win.  This is a game that doesn’t look winnable so push the streak to 15 headed back to Columbia for the season finale.

Auburn at Mizzou – Kim Anderson will pull out all the stops to get a win in the home finale and end the 16 game losing streak.  We project the Tigers to lose this game with a 47% chance to win but that is basically a toss-up.  If the Tigers win one of the final four, this is their best chance.

Mizzou at Mississippi State – The Tigers have a good shot at this one  too but it’s on the road.  They’ve got a 47% chance at winning.  What will be the Tigers mindset for this one if the streak is still going?  Will they pack it in or lay it all on the line?

It’s not looking good for the Tigers to end this losing streak in the regular season but if it does, it’ll be against Auburn at home on March 3, 2015.
