We’re in the home stretch of the NFL season as we enter the final four weeks. This week’s Formulator Football Friday I’m trying something new. Formulator vs. Vegas.
I compare the Formulator to what Vegas is booking for NFL week 14. We’ll compare and contrast what we predict for NFL week 14 versus what Vegas has set as the point spread and total for each game Sunday and Monday.

Formulator vs. Vegas – NFL Week 14
We’ll start with where the Formulator and Vegas agree.
- The closest game Sunday is Carolina at Cleveland. Vegas has the Panthers -2 while we have the Panthers by 1.
- The biggest spread Sunday is the Charger -14 against the Bengals. We have LA beating Cincy by 17 our widest margin of victory.
- Bucs vs. Saints has the highest total on the board in Vegas at 55.5. We have a predicted total of 57 for the game, our highest for NFL week 14.
Here’s where the Formulator and Vegas disagree by more 3 points:
- Buffalo is favored by 3.5 over the Jets but we’ve got NYJ a 2 point predicted winner Sunday. We also have a total of 42 predicted while Vegas has the total set at 38.5.
- We have the Bears 1 point winners on Sunday Night Football while Vegas has them a 3 point underdog.
- Vegas has the Saints -8 while we have New Orleans winning by 13.
- We have the Cardinals vs. Lions at a total of 44, Vegas set it at 40.5
- Steelers are 10 point favorites in Oakland Sunday but we’ve got them winning by 15.
- On Monday Night Football, the Seahawks are predicted 7 point winners over the Vikings, while Vegas has the Seahawks only 3 point favorites.
With the Redskins so injured at QB, I’m staying away from this game on Sunday. Our prediction varies from Vegas on this one too.
