NBA Power Rankings – December 24, 2018

The NBA is shut down today on Christmas Eve so it’s time to evaluate all the teams and run them through our formula to rank all 30 teams.

We analyze every team’s performance through December 24, 2018 and rank them in our data driven NBA power rankings.

How have teams been doing since our last NBA Power Rankings a month ago? Five teams have stayed in the same position as last time and eight teams have moved one spot but several teams have made major moves up or down.

Our top two teams remain the same as our last NBA Power Rankings and both come from the Eastern Conference.

Teams Moving Up

Leading the teams moving up are the Boston Celtics who have jumped up eight spots followed by the San Antonio Spurs and Utah Jazz both moving seven positions forward. The Miami Heat have moved up five spots.

Teams Moving Down

The Memphis Grizzlies are the biggest movers in the latest NBA Power Rankings as they drop 12 spots followed by the Portland Trail Blazers and New Orleans Pelicans, each falling seven spots. The Detroit Pistons have moved down four spots in the latest rankings.
