Trying out something new this week so let me know what you think. I’m giving a quick breakdown of each NFL game and if I recommend a play for a side or total on each game. 11 plays are below!
Panthers at Buccaneers (+6.5/40)
The Panthers defense is playing great and the Bucs are a mess. The total is low at 40 but this has the feeling of a game that’s going to be low scoring. I don’t like giving up 6.5 points on the road in the NFL.

49ers at Jaguars (+16.5/40.5)
The Jaguars are the worst team I’ve seen…ever. They’re offense is putrid and the defense is average at best. This is a huge spread by NFL standards yet I’m tempted to pull the trigger. I think motivation is going to be a problem with teams playing the Jags because nobody is threatened by them.

TOTAL PICK: UNDER 40.5
Cowboys at Lions (-3/51)
These are two teams trying to find their way to the playoffs. This is a big game especially for the Lions. They’re looking to be a wildcard team while the Cowboys look to be the best team in the NFC East. This is a pick ‘em game according to the formula so take the points and a lot of them.
ATS PICK: Cowboys +3
TOTAL PICK: OVER 51
Giants at Eagles (-6.5/52)
The Giants are coming off their first win Monday night against the lowly Vikings. The Eagles are banged up but put Michael Vick back in the starting lineup at QB. I think the total is the way to play this game.

TOTAL PICK: UNDER 52
Browns at Chiefs (-7/39.5)
Two outstanding defenses face off in this game. Jason Campbell gets his turn to QB the Browns. I think he’ll be steady but he’s gonna have a tough time moving the ball with the lack of playmakers on the Browns. This is a very low total but points will be a premium in this game. Look for a lot of field goals in this game.

TOTAL PICK: UNDER 39.5
Bills at Saints (-12/50)
The Bills have been a surprise this season. Doug Marrone has done a great job in his first season. They got a big win in Miami last weekend. The Saints have been great this season. I tend to stay away from double digit spreads so that makes this game a pass.

TOTAL PICK: PASS
Dolphins at Patriots (-6.5/45.5)
Both teams are coming off disappointing losses last week. The Patriots don’t have losing streaks. This is the game where they send a message. They win by double digits.
ATS PICK: PATRIOTS -6.5
TOTAL PICK: PASS
Jets at Bengals (-6.5/41)
Both teams had nice wins last week. Cincy is the best team nobody’s talking about. They’re legit contenders in the AFC. The Jets are playing better and should keep this game competitive.

Steelers at Raiders (+3/40.5)
Neither team can light up a scoreboard so this game should stay tight. The Steelers travel across the country after their rivalry win over the Ravens last week. I think this has a potential upset with the Raiders winning outright so take the points.

TOTAL PICK: PASS
Redskins at Broncos (-13/57)
If you like defense, don’t watch this game. Neither team is strong on that side of the ball. The ‘Skins just gave up 41 to Chicago so heading to Denver to face a team coming off a loss is not a good combo.

TOTAL PICK: OVER 57
Falcons at Cardinals (-2.5/45)
This is a pretty even match-up. The Falcons are trying to rebound from an awful start but the Cardinals are tough at home. If this line moves to 3 take the Falcons but otherwise stay away.

Packers at Vikings (+6.5/49.5)
The Vikings are playing musical QB’s. Josh Freeman looks to be out with a concussion after his first start Monday night. Christian Ponder should be back starting for them. The Packers are rolling. Their defense has been playing very well and should hold the Vikings down. The total is the way to play this one.

TOTAL PICK: UNDER 49.5
Seahawks at Rams (+10.5/42)
The Rams lost Sam Bradford so it’s hard to say how the offense will look this week and it faces one of the league’s best defenses. With the uncertainty of play at QB for the Rams makes this game a total pass.
