NFL Survivor Pool Picks
OMG! I’m humiliated, shocked and nearly at a loss for words. The bumbling Bills of Buffalo went to Minnesota and housed the Vikings on Sunday in the NFL’s biggest upset in nearly a quarter of a century and crushing my survivor pool pick. 0-3 start to 2018 NFL Survivor Pool Picks. Pathetic.
I want you to survive your eliminator pool this NFL season so I’m giving you my free survivor pool strategy all season. After 15-2 last season, I’m going to go on a run now to finish out the season! My picks are based upon our data driven NFL predictions and power rankings.

Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:
There are easy steps to cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool. Follow the strategy below to make week 4 NFL Survivor Pool pick. The Panthers and Redskins have a bye week so they’re out of consideration.
Eliminate the Teams Already Picked in 2018
We eliminate these losers, Lions (week 1), Redskins (week 2) and Vikings (week 3). With the Redskins off and the Lions and Vikings predicted week 4 losers, we start with 15 teams in consideration.
Eliminate Toss-Up Winners
Next, I eliminate toss-up games. That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list. The Colts and Steelers s are predicted 1 point winners this Sunday so they’re out. We’re down to 13 teams for our week 3 NFL Survivor Pool Pick.
Eliminate Road Winners
Then we eliminate road teams. I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all. Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.
Eliminating predicted road winners, the Eagles, Seahawks, Saints and Chiefss are predicted road winners so they’re out of contention for our NFL Survivor Pool Pick for week 4. Nine teams remain.
Eliminate Low Ranking Winners
Next, I look for team that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings. This eliminates four teams, the Packers, Falcons, Cowboys and Raiders. Fivesteams are left to consider for my week 4 NFL Survivor Pool Pick.
Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams
Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration. This eliminates Rams (against #16 Vikings), Patriots (against #9 Dolphins) and Bears (against #10 Bucs). We’re down to our final four week 4 NFL Survivor Pool Picks.
Final Survivor Pool Pick Candidates
At 0-3 I’m desperate for a win so it’s nice to just have 2 teams to choose from this week. I’ll rank them in order of confidence and make my NFL week 4 survivor pool pick.
2 – Chargers – With Jimmy G getting knocked out last week for the Niners, the Chargers seem a safe bet this week. If you’ve used Jacksonville already roll with the Chargers.
1- Jaguars – The Jacksonville Jaguars host the New York Jets on Sunday. I’m going with the Jags as they’re #4 in this week’s power rankings. Take the Jaguars to survive NFL Week 4.
If the Jaguars lose, this column could be called NFL Instant Death next week!
