Week 6 NFL Survivor Pool Picks

I want you to survive your eliminator pool this NFL season so I’m giving you my free survivor pool strategy all season. After 15-2 last season, it’s a 2-3 start this season. I’m going to build on the momentum of surviving two straight weeks! My survivor pool picks are based upon our data driven NFL predictions and power rankings.

Survivor Pool Pick Strategy:
There are easy steps to cut down your potential pick for your NFL survivor pool. Follow the strategy below to make week 6 NFL Survivor Pool pick. The Lions and Saints have a bye week.
Eliminate the Teams Already Picked in 2018
We eliminate the four teams I’ve already picked including the Lions (week 1), Redskins (week 2), Vikings (week 3), Jaguars (week 4) and Panthers (week 5). The Lions are off and Jaguars, Vikings and Panthers are predicted winners so they’re out for this week. We have twelve teams to consider for week 6.
Eliminate Toss-Up Winners
Next, I eliminate toss-up games. That means we’re cutting the 1 point winners out of the list. No 1 point games to consider here so we’re still at 12 teams for our week 6 NFL Survivor Pool Pick.
Eliminate Road Winners
Then we eliminate road teams. I don’t like taking road teams to win in the NFL at all. Just too risky when you need a win, go with a home team.
Eliminating predicted road winners, the Eagles, Bears, Chargers, Steelers, Seahawks, Rams and Ravens are predicted winners away from home this so they’re out of contention for our NFL Survivor Pool Pick for week 6. Five teams remain.
Eliminate Low Ranking Winners
Next, I look for teams that aren’t in our 20 of the power rankings. This eliminates two teams, the Texans (21) and Falcons (30). Three teams are left to consider for my week 6 NFL Survivor Pool Pick.
Eliminate Winners Playing Good Teams
Then, I look for our predicted winners that are playing teams ranked in the top 16 and take them out of consideration. This eliminates the Patriots (against #2 Chiefs). We’re down to our final two week 6 NFL Survivor Pool Picks.
Final Week 6 NFL Survivor Pool Pick Candidates
We have some options this week as we have two teams that made it through the screening criteria. I’ll rank them in order of confidence and make my NFL week 6 survivor pool pick.
2 – Jets – The Jets are coming off of a convincing win but play a Colts team that’s competitive. The Jets have been to up and down so far to have a lot of confidence in so I’m going to go with the other team this week.
1- Packers – Green Bay faces a weakened 49ers team getting used to Jimmy G no longer being under center due to injury. Aaron Rodgers…at home…in primetime. He always seems to find a way to win in that situation. Take the Green Bay Packers to survive NFL Week 6.
