Top 5 Best Bets for MLB Win Totals

sportsformulatorsiteheader

We’ve given you our 2015 MLB predicted records so here’s a list of our top 5 best bets for MLB win totals.

1)  Colorado Rockies UNDER 71.5 – The Rockies won 66 last year with a long list of players lost to the disabled list.  Michael Cuddyer is gone now and they’ll miss his bat.  If they stay healthy and don’t trade away Troy Tulowitzki, they should be better than last season but this is a team not to bet on winning more than 71 games this season.

2)  Tampa Bay Rays UNDER 78.5 – The Rays are going to really struggle offensively this season.  78 wins is a lot for a team that’s not gonna score many runs.  They’ve got young pitchers that’ll have to step up and keep the other team off the scoreboard.  The Rays will not win more than 78 games this season.

3)  Baltimore Orioles OVER 82.5 – Matt Wieters missed most of last year after a great start and is expected to be back for most of this season.  The loss of Nelson Cruz hurts the offensive some but the pitching staff is better.  Buck Showalter will keep his team winning this season.  The Orioles are going to win more than 82 games this season.

4)  Kansas City Royals OVER 80.5 – The Royals got hot at the end of last year and rode it all the way to game 7 of the World Series.  People are overestimating the James Shields loss.  They’ve got solid starters and the best bullpen in baseball.  If Mike Moustakas continues his improved hitting from last postseason the lineup should be even better than last year.  The Royals will have a winning record in 2015.

5)  Toronto Blue Jays OVER 82.5 – The Blue Jays won 83 last year and improved since last season with Josh Donaldson and Russell Martin coming in for 2015.  They are contenders and will win over 82 games this season.
