College Football Playoff Predictions

If the 2023-24 College Football Playoff were this weekend, here’s the line-up:

  • #1 Florida State vs. #4 Michigan – FSU has the best win right now over LSU. Michigan is not impressing by blowing away lesser opponents and that’s keeping them #4.
  • #2 Texas vs. #3 Georgia – The Texas win at Alabama is less impressive a week later after Alabama only mustering 17 points at USF. That flips them spots with the Seminoles.

Heisman Trophy Rankings

  1. Caleb Williams (QB – USC) – Completed 19 of 21 against conference foe Stanford. Now with 12 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, he jumps to the top of the Heisman rankings this week.
  2. Michael Penix (QB – Washington) – took his team on the road and demolished Michigan St. While the Spartans aren’t title contender, beating a Power 5 team on the road by 34 is impressive and is building his resume toward a showdown with Caleb Williams.
  3. Jordan Travis (QB – Florida State) – He couldn’t get the Noles to step on the gas and put Boston College in the rearview mirror Saturday. Were they looking ahead to Clemson this week? A huge game Saturday could vault him to the top of the Heisman race.
  4. Shadeur Sanders (QB – Colorado) – was able to lead his team’s comeback and set the Buffs up for their biggest showdown of the season at Oregon this Saturday.
  5. Sam Hartman (QB – Notre Dame) – He’s made the Irish offense click from the start this season. He’s got his showcase game this weekend against Ohio State and later this year against USC.
