SportsFormulator Update – March 6, 2018

Hey I thought it was time to give a little update on the latest from SportsFormulator.

What’s New

MLS Predictions

For the first time, SportsFormulator offers a new sport since inception. Major League Soccer is now a full-time addition to the SportsFormulator line-up. You can find data driven MLS predictions weekly.

I have finally embraced soccer and believe it’ll surpass the NHL and MLB in popularity here in the US within 10 years.

With this addition, more soccer could be coming. I’ll be tracking the interest MLS gets this year and go from there.

The Formulator 4 Minute Show

I’m going to start doing regular shows online that’ll just be four minutes. Look for episodes on Facebook, Periscope/Twitter and Instagram.

I’ll talk about what’s going on with SportsFormulator, the sports world in general and maybe give out a free pick. Also, I’d like to make it interactive so send me questions or comments and I’ll answer on the show.

What Almost Went Away

I told a few people at the end of the 2017 MLB season, I was dropping MLB from the site. It’s cumbersome and my interest in baseball isn’t great. I’m a Royals fan but if they’re not contenders, I’m not interested in baseball at all.

MLB is try to get with the program some. They’ve at least embraced gambling as being part of their future by supporting sports betting bills throughout the country including here in Missouri.

So MLB predictions will be up for the 2018 season beginning March 27 (Opening Day is March 29).

MLB it’s not too late to still embrace more of my 5 point plan to improve!

March 2018

The Madness is almost here! The Bracket comes out Sunday evening for the 2018 NCAA Tournament so look for the Bracket Dominator next week. I’m planning to do a Formulator 4 Minute episode right after the bracket is announced to give my snap reactions.

MLB will be going at the end of the month and the NBA and NHL will be racing to the playoffs.

Let’s win!

The Formulator is Hot This December! Premium Picks are Cashing 74%!

It might be getting colder outside but the FORMULATOR IS HOT!  We’re just a week in to December and we’ve cashed 14 of 19 premium picks!

I love how everyone always scoffs when you say you can make money betting sports.  I’d love for one of those skeptics to go ask one of the SportsFormulator Insiders how they’re doing.

Let’s just take December so far, we’re just 7 days in to the month yet already showing a tremendous profit for SF Insiders!

CASHING TICKETS NIGHTLY

We’re 14-5-3 (74%) on picks this month.  We’ve got 4 picks this weekend on NFL.  3 picks this Friday night including a slam dunk college basketball winner

SportsFormulator Turns 5!

by Matt Fischer

SportsFormulator is 5!

SportsFormulator.com launched five years ago today! Thank you for being part of the journey over the past five years. Checking out the site, offering feedback and being a part of SportsFormulator.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

New Offerings

I’m excited to announce new offerings from SportsFormulator head in to week 6.  Our first offering is the SportsFormulator Insider program.

As a SF Insider, you will get detailed game previews and predictions for the big games of the day.  You can get a preview of it here.  Hopefully you think our information is worth 33 cents a day.  Take advantage of our sale during our anniversary week and become a SF Insider now.

Later this week, I’ll be launching a podcast.  Stay tuned for more information on the SportsFormulator podcast coming in November.

Free Picks

Check out a preview of what you’ll have access to as a SF Insider.  Here are free picks for tonight’s games.

Orlando Magic at New Orleans Pelicans (Pelicans -7.5, 225.5)

Tonight, the Pelicans host the Magic.  The Magic go to New Orleans on a back-to-back having lost Sunday night at Charlotte by 7 dropping their record on the season to 4-2.  The Pelicans have won 2 straight to get to .500 on the season with a 3-3 record.

Orlando has lost on the road this season twice, once by 5 and the other by 7.  Look for Orlando to keep this one tight in New Orleans.  Take the Magic +7.5.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (Chiefs -7, 43.5)

Kansas City hosts their second Monday Night Football game of the seasonagainst AFC West rival Denver.  The Chiefs have had 10 days off since a questionable night of officiating in Oakland cost them their last game and gave them a two game losing streak.

The Broncos offense has been sputtering.  They were shut out by the Chargers last Sunday and only mustered 10 points at home the week before against the Giants.

The Broncos have averaged only 8 points per game while allowing 23.5  on the road this year.  The Chiefs have scored 23 and given up 19.7 on average at home.

With the way KC protects the ball, it’s hard to see them helping the struggling Broncos offense out with a short field.  The Denver defense will travel and have to put up points to help the offense if they’re to win this game.  Take the Under 43.5.

Thanks again for being part of the past five years.  Let’s win!

I’m looking for people to give it a try, try to break it, let me know what you like or don’t.  It’s very basic right now but ready to be tested.

If you’re interested in testing out this contest app let me know by completing the form below and I’ll send you an invitation to the app.

I’m being secretive about it now but it’ll be pushed out to everyone in March.

I’d like wish Brent Musburger well in retirement.  I’ll miss hearing him call games.  He always made games more interesting.  In retirement he’s wanting to start a sports handicapping business so he might become a competitor.  The first words I typed when I launched SportsFormulator.com were a tribute to him.

SportsFormulator’s 4 Year Anniversary – October 30, 2016

Happy Anniversary

Today marks 4 years of sports predictions by SportsFormulator!  It’s hard to believe SportsFormulator first published data driven predictions on NBA Opening Night, October 30, 2012.  There were 7 visitors to SportsFormulator.com that night as we predicted 3 NBA games.  Today, I expect thousands to visit the site.

You can read my post about the launch to see what was in my mind that day.  I launched while still working full-time and in the MBA program at Arizona State.  That was crazy to do but I knew the time was now or never so the journey began.  All of that didn’t last much longer.  I went to Formulator full-time and eventually left the MBA program.

THANK YOU!

A huge thank you to all of you who visit the site on a regular basis, buy picks, give feedback and spread the word about SportsFormulator.  I truly appreciate it.  All picks in the Pick Shop are $4 today as a thank you.

We’re giving away $40 credits to 40 entries who’ve been playing our contests this weekend.  Make your picks in our NFL Survivor, it’s your last chance to enter!

Launching a business by yourself is incredibly difficult.  I have had help from so many along the way that have taught me different things.  I knew I had the passion, determination and will to make it successful.

I’ve never had a bank loan or investment.  It’s something I’ve done on my own.  Made it much more stressful but it’s rewarding at the same time.

I’ve gone from producing content for 7 people on opening night to hundreds of thousands 4 years later.  Daily traffic comes from many countries around the globe.

College Football Revolution – 3 Part Series

College Football is great but could be much better.  I have developed a plan to realign conferences, improve scheduling, make bowl season more intriguing and create an even better final four for the college football playoff.

The Future of SportsFormulator

I’ve been working on two big projects for SportsFormulator.  I was hoping one would be ready by today, unfortunately it isn’t but should be soon.  It’s out of my hand so I’m at the mercy of others.

I don’t want to announce them yet but I think you’ll love them.  They’re something I’ve been developing for a long time and I think will take SportsFormulator to new heights.

Look for announcements on SportsFormulator.com later this year.

Thank you again for being part of SportsFormulator.  As always, if you’ve got a question or feedback for me, you can email me.
